'Aprendi' set for October 5, 2010 release

We are pleased and excited to announce that Volano's long awaited new album, 'Aprendi' will be released on October 5, 2010. New feature about Volano studio 'Process', now live!

Wounded Table's diligent and talented photographer Ryan paid a visit to Privacy Studios in Santa Barbara recently, and the photos he took inspired an improved extensive feature about Marco's studio. You can now get a first hand look at the equipment that was used to make the upcoming Volano release, Aprendi, as well as insight into what makes Volano a unique musical project, from the technical end. New Album: Why so long since the last?

No excuses, but ... what can we say, it's been a busy last few years. Actually, the album, entitled 'Aprendi' (translated, 'I have learned'), reached the 98.9% mark of being finished in the Spring of 2009. Tracking the music and mixing it was done long before this, but lyrics and vocals proved to be challenging and a long time in coming. Call it writers block, or simply, living with the instrumental versions for so long may have hindered the imagining of the tracks with vocals. Bottom line, making sure the album is up to par and surpassing the last one is of uptmost importance. Priority one. Currently, the album is going through the mastering process and finilizing the artwork. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks and days. Rest assured, the wait will be worth it!

Wounded Table website redesign

Finally, we are proud to announce that the new website is now live. Thanks to Infinite Concepts, this new version is virtually complete and will be regularly updated with many new features. The look and feel is in tandem with the new Volaño album, which will drop soon. We hope you'll agree that the design is much more comprehensive and allows more interactivity. Volaño also has a thriving interactive Myspace and Facebook presence, among other social networking and music sites (see the home page for a comprenesive list). Your feedback is most welcome.
